Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been a Greek American columnist, author and businesswoman for more than 20 years. She co-founded The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, television personality, philanthropist and also the proprietor and editor of The Huffington Post. When she moved to England from Greece at 16, she received a MA in Economics at Cambridge University. She was the first person from outside the UK to become president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. She was a conservative syndicated writer after the graduation ceremony and, when The Huffington Post launched a couple of years after, she created an online platform for voice which offered critiques of political scenarios. The fame of her name helped by attracting a variety of high-profile contributors to publish their thoughts on politics news and culture. Arianna gained fame in 2003 after she decided to stand independently for the California recall election to replace the Governor Davis. Alongside this, she led an Detroit project to promote vehicles that are fuel efficient. Forbes named her as 12th on its top 10 list of Most influential women in the media. Guardian also included the Huffington Post in their top 100 list in 2010. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as president of the media group and also included several other AOL properties such as Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Their parents are Elli as well as Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. They were who was a consultant in management as well as a journalist. She was extremely close to her father. However, it was the relationship she had with her mother which formed her. From her early years, she displayed leadership qualities which are still widely admired. At the age of 16, she moved to Britain to pursue her studies and was enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. In the time of her studies she was a member of Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she was elected the first woman president, and also the only foreign president. She graduated in 1972 with the degree of Master's in Economics. In the years following her degree she became a columnist, critic as well as a TV host. Also, she appeared on the show Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books taking editorial help from him.
